We share costs
Each 25L XOÀI Pack costs us $32 to buy from the factory, which is about 25% of the retail price. This buy price is actually not a cheap price for a backpack. We use high quality materials, order at MOQ, and choose to work with boutique factory partner.
After that, roughly 68% of the cost goes to marketing, administration, and other expenses needed to sell the product.
We take a 7% net margin — this is directly reinvested into the business for growth.
We sell our pack for $129 (plus shipping). Other brands charge $200-300 for products that use the same technical materials we do — ECOPAK, TPU-coated ripstop, and EVA foam.
XOÀI Packs is on a mission to make technical, ethically-sourced gear affordable. We run a lean business to save on expenses. We make sure the people that actually make the bags are paid fairly and work in good conditions. And we keep prices transparent and realistic for you, the consumer.
Why does the 25L Adventure Pack cost $129?
-
The unit cost we purchase from our vendor, FFG. Includes material, labor, overhead and profit for FFG. This is considered a high unit cost because we keep a low MOQ and use premium materials.
-
What it costs to get the backpack sold in market.
Marketing
Administration
Platform Fee
Warranty
Shipping to distribution center
Contingency
Shipping to customer is calculated after because there are different rates for different regions.
-
Currently all profit is reinvested into XOÀI Packs for growth.
As we grow, we plan to partner with charitable organizations and implement a profit sharing plan.
Shipping to customer is calculated separately because there are different rates for different regions.
Note: Costs change — materials, shipping, and fees all fluctuate. What we’ve shared here is current as of February 15th 2026. As XOÀI grows, we’ll keep updating these numbers to stay as transparent as possible.
